V. The Murray House, Stanley, hong kong pre wedding

The Murray House is one of my favourite buildings in Hong Kong. With its beautiful black and white floor tiles and heavy stone walls, pre wedding photos taken here in Stanley are timeless and elegant, mixed with a bit of old world charm.

“Murray House is a Victorian-era building in Stanley, Hong Kong. Built in the present-day business district of Central in 1844 as officers' quarters of the Murray Barracks,[1] the building was moved to the south of Hong Kong Island during the 2000s.This building has become an iconic landmark in Hong Kong…… Murray House was one of the oldest surviving public buildings in Hong Kong. Similar to many of its contemporaries from the early colonial era, it was designed in Classical architecture style.”

“The Murray, the third opening for the China-based Niccolo Hotels group, made its debut in January on Hong Kong’s Cotton Tree Drive, on the periphery of the financial district.” Featuring modern and unique architectural structure, a gorgeous view of the financial district, clean colour palette, it is Hong Kong’s new popular pre wedding photography location! Please do note that you will have to be a hotel guest to shoot in the hotel—it is a private venue.

Shek O beach is an easily accessible beach with rocky cliffside, clean sand and water, as well as some restaurants for some food after the shoot!

1881 Heritage, a building rich in colonial characteristic, is in the heart of Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui. Victoria Harbour, is just a short and scenic walk away. It is also only steps away from Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Hong Kong Space Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, and Kowloon Park.

It is located at 8 Jackson Road, in Central, along the eastern side of Statue Square, directly west of  Chater Garden. As the Old Supreme Court, its exterior is one of the declared monuments of Hong Kong.” This building reminds me of Paris’ beautiful historic architecture!

For the couples who long for classic and clean portraits, or for those who want an editorial-style pre wedding photography session, studio is the way to go.
